Jack and Ty had a long discussion about several matters on this date, including the subject of this blog. We touched on many points, but here is a summary.
Options for moving A-Shell to the next phase. We're not sure what precisely that next phase is, but its main feature is that its future is not so tightly tied to Jack.
- Find a local guy who can take over.
- Convert A-Shell to open source, and give/sell it to our big dealers.
- Find a current A-Shell dealer/developer to take over. SGA, Omniledger, Jorge.
- Have a conference with selected A-Shell people who have history with us and can grasp all the issues and complexities involved. Jorge, Stephen F, Phil, Denis.
- Write a letter to major dealers/users explaining situation and asking for their perspective and see if they are interested in becoming the A-Shell home. Omniledger, SGA, GOP. Jack expressed reluctance about this plan because it might alarm the parties because they have a lot to lose.
No actions or next steps were decided.
